A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also look great.

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
